Dive Club

What started as a group of friends meeting after work a few nights a week back in 2016, has turned into a vibrant dive club comprised of over 300 members! In many ways, we are still the same group of friends who started this in 2016, we just have so many more friends to dive with now.

We run weekly night dives, and weekend day dives. Our weekly night dives alternate bi-weekly between Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. The weekend dives alternate between Saturday and Sunday. We release a quarterly schedule, which is published on our calendar. Please note that all dives are subject to conditions - and therefore might be canceled or re-scheduled accordingly. We highly recommend joining our club mailing list in order to stay up to date on weekly dives. Underwater Voyagers is open to all divers of all abilities and experience. From fresh out of open water, to instructors with years of experience, everyone is welcome!

How to Join Underwater Voyagers:

Come on into the shop to pay annual dues ($45) and get added to our mailing list. We are working on an online sign-up, but until then, we look forward to seeing you all in-person!

Benefits to being a member of Underwater Voyagers:

  • Complementary air fills on club dives
  • Up to a 10% in-store discount. This discount does not apply to lead or electronics or price protected items.
  • Meet lots of local divers! You will immediately gain lots of new dive buddies.

October Club Updates

Below please find our Specialty of the Month, a fun fall themed club dive and our October Club Dive schedule.

Our Speciality of the Month will be Equipment Specialist on Tuesday October 5th from 4pm-9pm at Aquarius Dive Shop. The Equipment Specialist course teaches you about:

  • Gear care and maintenance procedures as well as scuba equipment storage recommendations.
  • Common equipment problems and how to handle them.
  • Equipment configuration suggestions and the latest gear.

To sign-up for this course, please either send us an email or give us a call. There is bookwork associated with this course, so if you are interested, sign-up now so you can get your bookwork done before class!

We will also be hosting an Underwater Pumpkin Carving dive during our scheduled club dive on October 31st. For more information and rules please see below.

All divers are required to bring their own pumpkin and carving materials (limit one pumpkin per diver). All divers must dive with a buddy during the competition at all times. At the point of descent, all divers will have 30 minutes to complete their carving. At the end of the dive, all dive computers must read 30 minutes or less OR must dive within the countdown clock.

At the end of the dive, all participants will exit the water with their equipment and pumpkins for judgement. All divers participating will assign 0-10 points to pumpkins based on the following categories. Divers cannot vote on their own pumpkins.

  • Creativity
  • Uniqueness
  • Full use of pumpkin

Pumpkins are not to be painted or decorated. All pumpkins must be able to stand out of water without support. All pumpkins must be real; no fabricated, machined or crafted pumpkins will be accepted.

As a general safety reminder, neither the Underwater Voyagers Dive Club nor Aquarius Dive Shop or Any Water Sports are responsible for injuries incurred during this event. Please do not attempt to carve another diver’s pumpkin or brandish cutting tools or equipment during the competition. Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification. Tools and equipment left in the water will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification.

Please RSVP for this club dive by 5pm on October 27th. If you have any questions, please give us a call.
